Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Stride Software ("Stride", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our websites, applications, ordering and delivery products, point-of-sale services, authentication features, or related services.
1. Information we collect
Depending on the Stride service you use, we may collect information that you provide directly to us or to a business using our software, including:
- name, phone number, email address, and account details;
- information used to create or authenticate an account, including one-time verification codes;
- delivery addresses, order details, preferences, loyalty activity, and customer support messages;
- location information when a feature requires it, such as delivery address selection or live delivery tracking;
- technical information such as device type, operating system, IP address, application version, logs, and diagnostic data.
When payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, that provider may collect payment information directly under its own privacy terms. We do not require users to send full payment-card details through WhatsApp.
2. How we use information
We use information as reasonably necessary to operate and improve our services. This can include creating and managing accounts, processing orders, coordinating deliveries, providing customer support, preventing fraud or misuse, maintaining security, troubleshooting, analyzing service performance, and complying with applicable law.
3. WhatsApp and one-time passwords
If you choose to receive authentication or service messages through WhatsApp, we may use your phone number to send one-time passwords (OTPs), account verification messages, and other service-related communications.
WhatsApp communications are delivered using services provided by Meta and WhatsApp. Information necessary to deliver those messages, including your phone number and message-related metadata, may therefore be processed by Meta or WhatsApp according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Verification codes are intended only to authenticate the requested action. You should never share an OTP with another person.
4. Restaurant and business customers
Some Stride products are provided to restaurants or other businesses that operate their own branded applications and services. In those cases, the business may determine why and how certain customer information is used, while Stride processes information on its behalf to provide the software and related services. The business may also provide its own privacy notice that applies to its relationship with you.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only where reasonably necessary to provide the service, including with:
- the restaurant or business through which you placed an order or created an account;
- service providers that support hosting, communications, messaging, maps, analytics, notifications, security, or payment processing;
- drivers or delivery personnel when necessary to complete a delivery;
- government authorities or other parties when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the relevant service, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or regulatory obligations. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information and the service involved.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you, or raise a privacy-related question. Where Stride processes information on behalf of a restaurant or other business, we may direct your request to that business when appropriate.
9. Children
Stride services are not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so that we can review the matter.
10. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards for such processing.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our products, practices, or legal requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the date shown at the top of this page.
